Connec+ (pronounced Connect) is a sophisticated tool used for linking Supply Chain processes across department, site AND company boundaries.

That same visibility allows the whole Supply Chain to become more flexible and enables it to adapt to changing circumstances faster and more smoothly.

Each operation within the chain naturally builds up buffer stocks to give it flexibility and resiliance. Many of these buffer stocks are duplicated by the previous or next operation. Supply Chain visibility gives everyone an accurate total picture of this work in progress. This allows the total WIP stock to be reduced without losing any of the flexibility and resiience that created them in the first place.

Communication
As well as linking systems together to give a comprehensive view of stocks and processes in the Supply Chain, Connec+ opens up channels of communication between the individuals and departments managing the processes across the whole chain.

Connec+ message threads replace unreliable emails, faxes, letters and memos. These threads are linked to orders or products and become, together with actual recorded events (eg. order creation, despatches, etc.), an instantly accesible audit trail.

Every process in the Supply Chain needs some 'room to manoeuvre' and Connec+ recognises this, so many events are only broadcast up and down the Supply Chain if they fall outside of predefined limits.
